Setia Badminton Academy[Setia BA] was established in 1997 with Han Jian as its Chief Coach. Han Jian was the 1985 World Champion and the coach of the 1992 Malaysia Thomas Cup Winning team.
Currently, Setia BA has established centre in Subang Jaya and Klang besides its home base in Setia Alam, Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan. There are about 300 players training in the various centre under Han Jian assisted by three [3] others coaches from Indonesia and Malaysia.
The primary aim of Setia BA is to train players between the age of 07 – 15 on basic badminton skills. We strongly believed mastering these skills is the basic necessity to become a good badminton player. These basic skills is further complimented with the use of our natural body movement. Beside skills training, Setia BA will instill values like self-discipline, perseverance, punctuality and others to all our players.
Other services provided by Setia BA are coaching clinics, individual or group training and other badminton skills courses.
Setia Badminton Hall
Setia Badminton Hall was built in 2006 by our parent company S P Setia Berhad, Malaysia’s leading developer. The five-year-old training complex is built on 2.2 acres in Setia Alam. It is equipped with 24 badminton courts, out of which 16 courts are laid with the Olympic-standard Taraflex floor-mat while the balance eight courts and two basketball courts are fitted with high quality timberstrip with bouncing effect to reduce knee impact.
The objective of the Academy is to equip grassroot players with excellent basic badminton skills and to promote and develop the sports of badminton as healthy sports for all ages.
